NO MURDERS DC (NMDC) is a movement to end murder in Washington, D.C.  NMDC is a coalition of concerned citizen volunteers working for a MURDER FREE DC.

NMDC is based on three basic principles:

1. One murder is one murder too many.
2. When a murder happens in the city, business as usual should stop and the residents should discuss what it would take to prevent a future murder.
3. The resources to prevent murder in D.C. exist in D.C.

We are looking to go beyond talk to real action that will prevent ALL people in our region from being murdered.ﾠ We’re placing a special emphasis on preventing the murder of Blacks, especially Black males, who are disproportionately the victims and perpetrators of homicides in the city.

A MURDER FREE DC serves as a model to usher in a new era of justice, sustainable peace, and violence-free thinking.
